Alright! An Aussie special! Here is the Big Day
Out 2004 section from Channel V. V says Metallica wouldn't allow for anymore than 7 songs being broadcast. I don't know... there was Rock am Ring 2003 and Rock in Rio 2004. Why would
the BDO be an exception to the Metallica rule? Maybe I'm just bitter because I was at this one and it would be cool to have a complete pro-shot
of a show you were at... but I'm sure we all want it. The 2003 Foo Fighters BDO set was shown VH1 - Behind the Music in full, so perhaps it will come out in he future.

Stereo sound and a very quickly edited pro-shot!
Jeez, it works well!

Now onto the Recovery session in 1998. Only 3
days after I saw them in Sydney and 5 days
after Newcastle! I remember the entire leadup
to this performance being so drawn out that
the 2 song and Interview clips seemed a tad
disappointing.

'Recovery' itself was a relatively short lived
Saturday morning show which struggled to keep
it's 18+ audience (the timeslot killed it) when
host Dylan Lewis left. He is on the video doing
the general intros and such. Lewis had a few
cool comps in the leadup which included sending
in emails of your favourite songs written
phoenetically. The winner was given pieces of
Metallica's rider...

Anyway, Metallica's set was filmed on the
Tuesday, before their Melbourne show. Only 50
comp winners and a further 50 Metclub members
were in attendence. And jeez! Some of them
have no idea. The 3 girls pushing their hands out
with the Ozzy fingers were embarassing. Pity
it's generated.

Lars' favourite riff is the opener to 'No Remorse'!!
Cool!!

VH1 Behind the Music is here too.
