A trip back to the good ol' days...Trent Reznor and
company (Richard Patrick, Chris Vrenna [or is it Jeff
Ward...wikipedia and ninhistorian differ] and James
Woolley rip thorugh an early gig. Highlights include now-
little-played gems 'Sanctified,' 'That's What I Get,' 'Get
Down Make Love' and 'Down in It.' The free-for-all during
'Head Like a Hole,' commplete with bellowing, off-key,
stage-hogging members of the audience screaming the chorus
is amusing in its own right.

Now the caveats: a few dropouts here and there, but
nothing too horrendous. There is a strange picture-in-
picture thing going on during 'Sin'...the lower left
quarter of the screen shows a second video feed, but
thankfully it goes away after the song ends, never to
distract again. There is an edit between 'Sanctified' and
'That's What I get" (the latter fades in, but I don't
believe any songs were lost, as the setlists for that
period were pretty static). Some dissolve shots as well...
somebody having fun with the fader, I guess. Finally,
there are 10 chapter stops, but they do not correspond to
the starting points of the songs. Oh yeah, no menu either.
This is just about as bare-bones as it gets.

It would be great if a lower-gen copy was available, but I
believe this will do just fine for a majority of NIN fans.
A wonderful document of an artist who has progressed in
major strides through his career...five years between
projects seems a bit much, but we gratefully take what we
are given. If you aren't satisfied after the download, I
am truly sorry, but at least all it cost was a little time
and bandwidth...cheers!
