The Show
* Michael Jackson debuted a single from his new album ('You Rock My World') and performed some of his greatest hits. He did also perform a duet with Britney Spears ('The Way You Make Me Feel').
* The Jackson 5 (Jackie, Marlon, Tito, Michael, and Jermaine) and The Jacksons (Jackie, Marlon, Tito, Michael, and Randy) reunited for the first time in twenty years. They performed a medley of their Motown and Epic Records hits. Michael choreographed all the numbers.
* The young divas Mya, Tamia, and Deborah Cox, each of whom has had a number one pop or R&B smash in the last year, performed together for the first time. The collaborated on Michael's 'Heal The World' together with Lil'Kim.
* Forty pop, R&B and country legends sang a special tribute to Michael at the end of the first show.
* Both evenings featured:
a forty-eight piece orchestra
twelve background singers
a three-hundred member gospel-choir
a two-hundred member children's choir
a forty member dance ensemble

More than two hundred stars from the motion picture, television, recording, and sports field joined together for this special celebration in honor of Michael Jackson. Dignitaries from around the globe did also participate in the event.

Tickets
MJFC was very glad to provide fans with NY concert tickets for different categories and prices. After receiving more than 2000 reservations the limited number of tickets was offered in chronological sequence of the reservations with members of the MJFC and subscribers to Michael! magazine given first priority.
Special Dinner And Tickets For Preferred Seating
There were also limited tickets available including admission to the special dinner and carnival held in honor of Michael Jackson and preferred seating for the concert performance.
The Champagne and Caviar Dinner and Carnival in honor of Michael Jackson was hosted by the chairmen of "Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration, the Solo Years". The dinner took place at Tavern on the Green at 11:15 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2001. You also had the option of buying a ticket to the concert on Monday, September 10, 2001, and still attending the dinner and carnival on Friday, September 7, 2001.
3 types of tickets were available - all including admission to the dinner and carnival and preferred seating for the concert performance.
Gold seat - $1,600.00 each - concert ticket for $800.00 and a dinner ticket for $800.00
Platinum seat - $3,000.00 each - concert ticket for $1,500.00 and a dinner ticket for $1,500.00, in addition, each guest received a limited edition commemorative poster signed by Michael Jackson. With the purchase of a table for 10, you received a full page black and white add in the program book.
Benefactor seat - $5,000.00 each - concert ticket for $2,500.00 and dinner in the Crystal Room where Michael Jackson and the dinner chairman were seated, in addition, each guest received a limited edition commemorative poster signed by Michael Jackson and a limited edition program book signed by various other celebrities. With the purchase of a table for 10, you received a full page color add in the program book.
