Light compression was used on the mix as a whole, and on Source 2 singularly allowing gain to
continue after compression. And due to the booming nature of the show and the recordings,
volume maximizing was also applied to help keep a balance to otherwise lost signals. Also
some frequency boosts between 2.5Khz and 3.5Khz by around 4db to bring the guitars forward
and prevent muddiness, and 2db at 4Khz to add some air, also to prevent a muddy sound (these
frequency alterations performed on both sources individually for the DVD version). Source 2
was merged into mono with some equalization to enhance the bass for the LFE channel.
Source 2 is the longest recording, starting before the DV camera source, continues through
the breaks before encores, and ends after Source 1 has finished. Various dropouts in the
first source are filled with Source 2, and a few crackling areas were fixed in Source 1.
The largest alteration to Source 1 was to fix the dramatic loss of audio volume which starts
just before You Got No Right, all the way through that and Mr. Brownstone, until just into
the extended intro of Slither. After the major volume increase much hiss reduction was needed,
but now these songs sound virtually identical to the rest of the show.
